Perhaps the most-climbed
LPNPs are Welch and Dickey Mountains, and
that probably has a lot to do with why I've
never been up them. But adding the
neighboring LPNPs makes a more inviting trek.
Occupying two parallel ridges that meet near
the top of Mt. Tecumseh, these peaks would
make a do-able trail/bushwhack of 9 or 10
miles with a total elevation gain of 2800',
using the Welch-Dickey trailhead as the start/stop
point. You could save a little distance and
climbing by starting near Haselton Brook. The
